Anti-Coli P is a polyspecific screening reagent that is intended for use in serological detection of specific antigens of E.coli strains. Method: Slide agglutination. If the isolated strain has E.coli antigen, within the range of the testing reagent, antigen-antibody reaction results in a visible agglutination. A negative result is reported in the absence of agglutination. Range: polyspecific (O 8:K 87, O 138:K 81, O 139:K 82, O 141:K 85, O 147:K 89, O 149:K 91); serological detection of O 8:K 87, O 138:K 81, O 139:K 82, O 141:K 85, О 147:К 89, О 149:К 91 or F 4 (K 88) antigen. Composition: A mixture of monoclonal antibodies derived from the supernatant of the culture medium of hybridoma cell lines secreting antibodies against the specific E.coli antigens. Preservative: Sodium Azide (NaN3) 0.9mg/ml Form of the reagent: Liquid Storage: 2-8⁰C An isolate with positive results requires testing with monospecific reagents for further characterisation and to rule out unspecific agglutinations a check by the Gruber-Widal test (confirmation test). Anti-Coli P is relevant to veterinary medicine by E.coli diagnostics in young pigs.
